The food your great-grandparents grew.

Our story

Kenneth Barnes, Chris’ Grandfather, bought this farm, previously named Sandy Creek Orchard, in 1986 and planted over 30 acres of pecan trees. Chris spent his childhood visiting the farm, helping in the orchard, and fishing in the ponds.

When Grandad passed, Chris’ dad, Mark spent years maintaining the farm, and working on the orchard.

In 2021, Chris and Adrienne had the opportunity to purchase the farm. We spent the next year, remodeling the small 2 bed, 1 bath house to fit our family of five. The land had no water, and the house was full of 1970’s “charm”. After a year of remodeling, we moved in July 2022.

Our goal is to provide the highest-quality meat products to the DFW area. We follow permaculture and regentative agriculture practices. Adrienne is a permaculture design specialist and loves to create homestead spaces that increase production while working with nature rather than against it.

Grown with care

It’s been the desire of our hearts for years to live on land where we could grow and raise enough food to support our family and our community. We know that what you feed your body can change your life.

We’ve sacrificed a lot of comforts and lazy Saturdays for early morning feedings, shoveling dirt and poop, and working outside in North Texas’ extreme heat and cold, but it’s all worth it when we fill our plates and connect with our customers.
